Why study Japanese?

I decided to study Japanese because my niece speaks Japanese and I want to be able to communicate with her.

So far Japanese class has been a lot of fun. The hardest part so far has been listening comprehension. It is sometimes hard to fully understand, but I hope this will get better as I get more acquainted with the language. I look forward to all the other things we're going to learn in the class!

  2. Hi! My name is Kana. I'm 18 and Japanese college student. I once lived in America, so I know the difficulties of learning foreign language. But I also know how fun it is to speak. I hope you'll enjoy learning Japanese! Good luck!

    1. Hi Kana! Yeah, learning a foreign language can be super hard. My first language was Spanish, but I've learned English, French, and a little bit of Arabic. Do you speak an languages in addition to English and Japanese? Where in the USA did you live?
